Welcome everyone, my name is Tania Schollum-Hollier.
I am a New Zealander and a native English speaker. I was very privileged to grow up in a bilingual environment here in beautiful New Zealand.
After attending Auckland University, I had an opportunity to live in The Netherlands during my early twenties. This allowed me to experience first-hand the joys and difficulties of learning a new language, new culture, in a new country.
After returning to New Zealand, I worked in International Freight Forwarding and business where I was able to utilise my bilingualism. After a short break, I returned to the Education system where I have worked in both Early Childcare and Primary.
I am a CELTA qualified ESOL Teacher (English for Speakers of Other Languages) from Cambridge University (England). I am qualified to teach both children and adults from beginners through to university level being A0 CEFR or IELTS 1.0 through to CEFR C2 or IELTS 9.0
I currently teach ESOL at Orewa Primary School. I am passionate about teaching English and
due to having experienced first-hand many of the pitfalls and frustrations of learning a new
language, I am able to help my students through these and encourage them to succeed in their fluency and enjoyment of the English language.
I look forward to meeting you in the future and am happy to discuss any of your questions relating to your English needs, be it as a beginner with conversational English, assistance with reading and writing, through to Master degree level.
